405 boys and 425 girls in Puerto Rico were given a translated version of the Junior Eysenck Personality Questionnaire. Indices of factor comparison were adequately high for boys but were totally unacceptable for girls, especially on P and E. Similarly, alpha reliabilities were reasonably high for the boys' sample but were unusually low for the girls. Cross-cultural comparison of means for Puerto Rican and British boys, using only items both scales have in common, reveals Puerto Ricans score slightly lower than their British counterparts on N but much higher on L
